Coarse Angling Ireland NCFFI

NCFFI's simple message this Easter is #STAYSAFE and #LEAVETHERODSATHOME

The NCFFI is pleased that so many organisations in Irish angling are supporting the single message #STAYHOME

Our position is in line with the policies of the RNLI and the Irish Coast Guard, who have asked us not to carry out any water activities inland or off shore. Waterways Ireland and DAERA Inland Fisheries have a similar approach to supporting our front line workers and health services to save lives

ESB have now closed all their managed fisheries.

IFI managed fisheries in the South and the entire Public Angling Estate in Northern Ireland are also closed.

We remain very disappointed with the Inland Fisheries Ireland
position. We ask them to please reconsider this indefensible policy, now that we are faced with a further three weeks of lockdown. Not only have they left our fisheries wide open to abuse but have made life harder for Gardaí enforcing the regulations. We can only hope that common sense will prevail.

The NCFFI continues to liaise with the Federation of Irish Sport, Sport Ireland and Sport Northern Ireland to provide our members with the latest information with updates posted at www.ncffi.ie
Information changes regularly to keep up to date with important information and full details of the latest measures please follow these useful links. #covid19 #coronavirus

I’ve probably posted this all read their a lot of educational stuff including section for school teachers .
Just click on the link

Calling all parents, teachers and students, we know that you might be missing school at the moment and having to learn at home can be difficult, so if you would like to get involved in ‘Something Fishy’ go to www.somethingfishy.ie

The ‘Something Fishy’ programme is a fun and interactive educational resource, for all students.

The website includes a kid’s zone, teacher’s zone and loads of helpful resources for parents to teach at home. Learn all about water, fish and their habitats, the life of a salmon and its journey, nutrition, angling, the environment and fish and humans. Resources come in the form of videos, stories, images, activity cards, quizzes and slide shows. There are also some fun and simple experiments that can be done at home for example making a garden in a bottle. Go to www.somethingfishy.ie to find out more!

It also has an 'As Gaeilge' section that is suitable for all ages and a great way to incorporate Irish in a fun way!
