ballymount lake rules

All rules and policies are subject to change at any time.

All members are expected to understand and follow all rules and policies set out hereafter.

Any member caught breaking the rules or policies can and will have their membership revoked.

  • You MUST be a member of Killinarden Angling Initiative to fish Ballymount lake.
  • All members must carry their membership cards at all time and must show them on request by a member of South Dublin County.
  • Council, Inland Fisheries Ireland or KAI
  • Your litter must be taken home with you, park bins are not supplied for angling litter.
  • All pathways must be kept clear. This is a public park and access to the public must be granted at all times.
  • All members are expected to treat the park, lake and surrounding community with respect.
  • All members must cooperate with park rangers.
  • All members under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • STRICTLY catch and release.
  • Fishing only in designated areas?
  • No keepnets, except for events and then any nets used must be supplied by KAI and only used in Ballymount lake.
  • All nets must be dipped in the disinfection bins provided.
  • Barbless or semi barbed hooks only.
  • No boilies
  • No white bread.
  • No camping
  • No night fishing
  • No fires.
  • No Alchol
  • No Drugs
  • No anti-social behavour.
